WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER TO BE THE DEFINING MOMENT OF YOUR CAREER SO FAR?
I’d hope I haven’t had that defining moment yet; without one, the best is yet to come.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT WHAT YOU DO?
I thoroughly enjoy the process of negotiation.
IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD CHANGE ABOUT YOUR INDUSTRY?
Our industry is full of inexperienced “professional” agents. I wish my colleagues cared less about being friends and more about representing their clients. Inexperience isn’t a fundamental problem, but when it could negatively affect a client’s experience, I wish they would ask for help rather than let pride get in the way.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A YOUNG WOMAN EARLY IN HER CAREER?
Stay fresh, continue to learn as much as you can, continue to raise the bar, and never buy into the “glass ceiling” theory. The glass ceiling isn’t real; it is a made-up theory by people who want to limit you and your success.
WHAT PRACTICE HAS HAD THE BIGGEST IMPACT ON THE WAY YOU APPROACH YOUR WORK?
My husband is my biggest fan and my most excellent motivator. As far as industry partners, I have had so many people teach me and spend time with me to help me become better at my job. When I am in the room with people I consider industry giants, I ask questions and listen to every word they have to say. Comprehensively understanding how all of the moving parts fit together is priceless. It helps me have the ability to see problems coming and correct them before they derail a deal.
WHAT OBSTACLES HAVE YOU FACED EITHER PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY?
I am my own worst enemy and my biggest critic.
WHAT IS LEFT ON YOUR “CAREER CHECKLIST”?
I struggle with the question, “When is enough, enough?” When I started this journey seven years ago, I had no idea that it would be a “career.” I had no idea I would own my own real estate company. I had no idea I would work with the real estate gurus I have had the privilege of working with. I had no idea that I would be a real estate investor. My checklist is a living, breathing document. Maybe one day I will wake up and say something like, “Well, that was fun. See y’all later.”
WHAT IS A QUOTE OR SAYING THAT MOTIVATES YOU?
“Don’t try — do!”
