Entrepreneurship experts Jeff Amerine and Dr. Jeff Standridge recently embarked on a venture on their own: their first co-authored book.
Amerine, the founder and managing director of Startup Junkie Consulting, and Standridge, the managing director of Conductor, have led the charge to increase entrepreneurship in Arkansas in recent years. This book, entitled Creating Startup Junkies: Building Sustainable Venture Ecosystems in Unexpected Places, delves into the process of forging sustainable entrepreneurisal ecosystems.
“Most of the attention for venture ecosystems is coastal focused,” Standridge said in a statement. “But we believed there was something to be had and cultivated here in the heartland, the heart of America… We wanted to tell that story and provide a blueprint for economic developers, community leaders, ecosystem builders, and others in unexpected places. We want those people to get as much attention and focus as the folks on the coasts.”
According to Standridge and Amerine, the book is designed to serve as a roadmap for ecosystem builders, including chamber executives, city and municipal leaders, and other stakeholders.
U.S. Rep. French Hill penned the introduction to the five-part book. Inside its pages, Amerine and Standridge discuss tools that ecosystem builders can utilize, including strategic assessment and an ecosystem building canvas.
The book has already attracted attention, becoming the no.1 book in the Startup section on Amazon.
Creating Startup Junkies releases on Thursday, Jan. 28. Amerine and Standridge will be holding a virtual book signing on Jan. 28 to mark the release of the book. Click here to register.
