AM Group, a women-owned communications agency based in Fayetteville, has announced the formation of its inaugural advisory board.
Making up the board are Mark Blackwood, Maxine Williams, Michael Paladino, and Morgan Scholz.
“We didn’t form an advisory board because something was broken, we did it because we want to be smarter about what comes next,” said Mary Mickel, co-founder and partner at AM Group. “This group of professionals that we deeply trust will provide us the perspective to grow with intention, sharpen how we show up for clients, and build a firm that’s strong for the long haul.”
Blackwood is a longtime leader in Arkansas’s advertising and communications industry as founder of Blackwood Martin, the Fayetteville-based agency later acquired by CJRW. Fayetteville-based Williams is a seasoned agency and brand leader with experience spanning global brands and regional agencies including Unilever, Geometry Global and CJRW. Paladino is a technology entrepreneur and co-founder of RevUnit, a Northwest Arkansas-based digital strategy and product development firm acquired in 2019, and Scholz is the chief people officer at Fayetteville’s Acres.com, a land intelligence and data company.
“As we grow, this isn’t about optics, it’s about perspective,” said Andrea Ritchie, co-founder and partner at AM Group. “This board gives us trusted voices who understand Arkansas, understand growth, and aren’t afraid to tell us the truth. That honesty makes us better, and ultimately makes our work stronger for clients and the communities they serve.”
