Addison Joining Southern Baptist Convention as Executive VP

Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ASBC) associate executive director Greg Addison is taking a new position at the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC).

Addison is leaving the ASBC to become part of the Southern Baptist Convention’s executive committee as its executive vice president. In this new role, Addison will support SBC president and CEO Dr. Ronnie Floyd.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Addison has served as ASBC associate executive director since 2014 and previously served two terms as ABSC president. He also has held senior pastor roles at First Baptist Church of Cabot and East Side Baptist Church of Paragould as well as an adult minister at Bellevue Baptist Church of Memphis.

“Greg will be greatly missed because of his vital role on our staff and his incredible ministry to Arkansas Baptists. However, we are excited he will continue to be a ministry partner serving the SBC,” ASBC executive director Dr. J.D. “Sonny” Tucker said in a statement.
