Arkansas State University has named a new Title IX and institutional equity director.
Perdeta L. Bush will be taking on this role, overseeing A-State’s compliance and outreach efforts in these areas. She previously served as an equity and compliance specialist at Penn State University-Harrisburg.
“Perdeta brings a wealth of experience in both compliance and in education on these important issues for Arkansas State,” assistant vice chancellor for human resources Dr. Lori Winn said in a statement. “From listening to the feedback of our selection committee and her colleagues at Penn State Harrisburg, one of her strengths is her ability to educate and communicate with the wide range of audiences on campus. She will be highly involved in creating new outreach projects with our students, faculty and staff to enhance our current programs.”
Bush will succeed Stephanie Lott as the Title IX and institutional equity director. Lott became the director for the University of Kansas’ Office of Institutional Equity.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern with a master’s degree from the University of Georgia. She is currently working on a doctorate in adult education and lifelong learning.
